HowNow is a collaboration between the three of us - Claud Tonietto, Kyra Norman, Winona Guy to hold a space - in Cornwall, UK - for artists working with movement and dance, to gather and share moving and thinking.  Our work is framed by the ongoing question: 'How do I / you / we want to make dance work, in this complex present moment?'

Background

We began in October 2021 and, for six months up to March 2022, we three met monthly to host a day of dancing and discussion at Hendra Hall, Truro, with different dance artists from Cornwall and Devon dropping in each time.  Through this process we began to figure out how to move this idea forward, found our collective name, and put together some words to describe what HowNow is (and isn't) - here

We now hold monthly(ish) Open Sessions - all dance artists, or people working in relation to movement/dance somehow - are welcome to come along: those living in Cornwall, those passing through, and those who are curious about their practice and would like to come visit and share ideas....

In September 2022, we hosted a weekend workshop with Orrow Bell. Info on that here

2023 plans are coming togather: this will include more Open Sessions led by us as a collective, and more hosting of guest artists, see the Join In page for details
